As many as 10,229 Turkish trucks transported cargo from Turkey to Italy in the first four months of 2020, which is 21 percent less than in the same period of 2019, Trend reports on May 20 referring to Turkey’s International Freight Forwarders Association (UND).
"Italy accounted for 2.76 percent of the total volume of cargo transportation from Turkey by trucks for the reporting period," the association said.
According to UND, in April 2020, 1,357 Turkish trucks transported cargo from Turkey to Italy, which is 55 percent less than in April 2019.
In total, 369,978 trucks from Turkey transported cargo abroad from January through April 2020, which is 8 percent less compared to the same period of 2019.
Some 79,909 trucks from Turkey transported cargo abroad in April 2020, which is 23 percent less compared to April 2019.
