The Palestinian group Hamas killed 1,365 Israelis and wounded 6,411 over the past 24 years, the movement said Wednesday in a statement to mark its 1987 founding, dpa reported.
Izz a-Din al-Qassam, Hamas' armed wing, said it had carried out some 1,117 attacks against Israelis, including 87 suicide bombings. The movement fired 11,039 rockets into Israel and tried 24 times to abduct Israelis, it added.
The statement added that 1,848 Hamas militants were killed by the Israeli military.
It was not possible to immediately and independently verify the Hamas figures.
