Afghanistan, Kabul, January. 11 / Trend , A. Hakimi/ Eight members of a kidnapping group were arrested by security forces in Fara province.
A well known citizen was to get kidnapped by the group, but the operation was prevented by the security forces. Local police officer said that Farah provincial Governor Rooh Al-Amin pointed the statement to media and added that investigation of the caught group is in progress.
He believes that detaining kidnappers will cause the decrease of such criminal events. Weapons of different kinds were gained by the security officials from this group, he added.
Meanwhile, six abductors were also arrested in Nemroz province yesterday.
According to provincial governor, Ghulam Dastageer, they were involved in kidnapping WFP workers.
