More debris, luggages from missing Air France jet found: Brazil Navy

The Brazilian Navy said on Friday that more debris and passenger luggages from the crashed Air France airliner have been recovered, Xinhua reported.

The debris has been transported to the northeastern city of Recife by a a Brazilian warship and will be handled by the investigation committee, according to a press release of the Navy.

The Navy said a meeting will be held in the afternoon on search efforts and no decision is made on when to conclude the search.

Air France Flight 447, an Airbus A330-200, went missing when traveling from Rio de Janeiro to Paris with 218 people on board in the early hours of June 1.

So far bodies of 50 victims have been recovered and investigators are still looking for the cause of the tragedy.
