Afghan Deputy Foreign Minister Mohammad Kabir Farahi is in Seoul in a 10-day visit to meet with S. Korea's Foreign Minister and Deputy Foreign Minster during his stay here, an official from the foreign ministry said on Thursday.

Afghan Deputy Foreign Minister Mohammad Kabir Farahi is in Seoul in a 10-day visit to meet with S. Korea's Foreign Minister and Deputy Foreign Minster during his stay here, an official from the foreign ministry said on Thursday, Xinhua reported.
  
He will meet with Seoul's Foreign Minister Yu Myung-hwan and Deputy Foreign Minister Lee Yong-joon to discuss the South Korean Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) to be based in the region, where some 350 South Korean troops will also be stationed to protect the civilian workers, Seoul's foreign ministry said.
  
In the first visit by a ranking Afghan official in eight years, the two sides will also discuss expanding bilateral exchanges and cooperation on reconstruction projects, according to the ministry.
