Guru Granth Sahib safely removed after terrorist attack at Gurdwara Karte Parwan in Kabul

The holy book, Guru Granth Sahib, has been safely removed from Gurdwara Karte Parwan in Kabul where a terrorist attack took place today. According to sources, Afghan Sikhs entered the Gurdwara premises which was on fire to save the book.

The holy book was removed safely from Gurdwara.

They took the holy book to the residence of Gurnam Singh to maintain and worship it there according to its sanctity and principles.

Multiple blasts were reported at Gurdwara Karte Parwan in Kabul, Afghanistan. ISIS Khorasan is suspected of being behind the attack. The Ministry of External Affairs is monitoring the situation. According to sources, the entire premises of Gurdwara was set on fire.

The attack started at 7:15am Kabul time (8.30 am India time). A 60-year-old man, identified as Sawinder Singh and the guard of the Gurudwara were killed while three Taliban soldiers were wounded in the incident. Two attackers were cornered by Taliban soldiers. At least 7-8 people are still believed to be trapped inside, but the numbers are not confirmed.
