V.Yushchenko: Ukraine and Georgia will become EU and NATO members

( ForUm ) - The President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko is convinced that Ukraine and Georgia will become full members of the European Union and NATO. He told in Tbilisi at opening Taras Shevchenko monument.

Yushchenko noted that Ukraine and Georgia are tied with friendly and partnering relations, and it is not only history but also future. "The most significant is that future unites us," he said, adding that both countries passed through thorny path to freedom and independence. Many problems in both countries relate to aspiration of Ukraine and Georgia to independence and democracy. He opined that the states will have European living standards, and not much time will pass for Ukraine and Georgia to become full members in the Euro Atlantic structures.

"Every day threads of understanding tie us with the European society," the President of Ukraine said.
