Some 25 PKK militants were killed during the special operation conducted by the Turkish military in the Hakkari province, the Turkish newspaper Sabah reported.
According to the newspaper, two Turkish soldiers killed during the clashes between the army and the PKK militants.
The conflict between Turkey and the PKK which demands the creation of an independent Kurdish state has been on-going for more than 25 years claiming over 40,000 lives. The PKK group is recognised as a terrorist organisation by the UN and the European Union.
