Turkey claims to host the 2024 UEFA European Football Championship (Euro 2024), Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, Turkish media reported Sept. 26.
Erdogan said that Turkey has fulfilled all the conditions for holding the Euro 2024.
He noted that Turkey is expecting a fair decision from the UEFA on this matter.
The 2024 UEFA European Football Championship will be the 17th edition of the UEFA European Championship to take place in the summer of 2024. This is the third 3rd edition of the European Championship, in which 24 teams will take part.
Officially, the UEFA didn’t announce the deadline for applications, the formation of bid books and holding presentations.
The UEFA didn’t decide whether the Euro 2024 will take place in specific countries or again across Europe, just like the 2020 European Championship. The election of the Euro 2024 host country will be held on Sept. 27, 2018.
Only Turkey and Germany expressed desire to host the Euro 2024.
