Turkish Ministry announces planned amount of costs for implementation of transport projects in 2022

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 11. Some 494 transport projects will be implemented in Turkey until the end of 2022, Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.

According to the ministry, 49.7 billion Turkish liras ($3.2 billion) will be allocated for their implementation.

"Part of projects will be financed by foreign loans in the amount of 4.7 billion Turkish liras ($308.8 million)," the ministry said.

Turkey’s expenses for the implementation of transport projects amounted to 42.7 billion Turkish liras ($2.8 billion) in 2021.

A total of 469 transport projects were implemented in Turkey in 2021 and funds from foreign loans in the amount of 5.9 billion Turkish liras ($387.6 million) were allocated for implementation of these projects.
