On 25 August 2005 in Pirkuli settlement of Shamakhi region the earthquake was registered. The earthquake occurred at 15.24 p.m. forced 4,5 by 12-point scale, the Seismological Service Centre of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan told Trend.

At the result of the natural forces some houses cracked, no human casualties reported.
