Russian Foreign Ministry expects the Consulate of the Russian Embassy in Azerbaijan to provide the information regarding Russian citizen Marat Ueldanov detained in Azerbaijan, Russian Foreign Ministry’s spokeswoman Maria Zakharova wrote on her Facebook page July 27.
Earlier it was reported that Russian citizen of Armenian origin Marat Ueldanov was detained in Azerbaijan in early June upon the article 234.4.3 of the Azerbaijani Criminal Code - illegal acquisition, production, storage and distribution of drugs on a large scale.
According to the message, the detainee's sister Mariana Mirzoyan (Galustyan) said that Ueldanov has repeatedly been to Azerbaijan and had no problems with entering the country.
