Azerbaijan's state oil company SOCAR plans to complete the construction and installation work at the new platform #6 on the Bulla Deniz field in the Caspian Sea's Azerbaijani sector by late May.

The facility's construction has been going on since October 2014.

SOCAR said in a message that some 11 bearing pulleys of the platform have been already installed.

"The daily debit of four wells on the platform #6 will reach two million cubic meters of gas and 600 metric tons of condensate," SOCAR said. "The platform will be installed at a depth of 26 meters, and is on the balance sheet of the N. Narimanov Oil and Gas Management of SOCAR."

The company also said the platform will sport the most modern drilling equipment, a residential block, a mooring site, a helipad, an automated control and operation system, a fire protection system, hydro active cranes, water purification installations and other necessary equipment.

Earlier the first vice-president of SOCAR, Khoshbakht Yusifzadeh said the company will build a new platform on the Bulla Deniz field in the zone of the old platform #90, which previously suffered a fire.

The fire on the old platform was extinguished, and on Oct. 25, 2013, the well, which has a high debit, was connected to the gas transmission system.

The reserves of the new block, which gave good results, are estimated at 10 billion cubic meters of gas.
