Works on cleaning and checking the inner part of the main gas pipeline Mozdok-Gazimagomed have been interrupted due to the yesterday night’s suspension of gas delivery from the LLC Gazexport (a daughter company of Gazprom Joint Stock Company (JSC)) to Azerbaijan over the breakdown on the pipeline in Dagestan, Russia, the Production Union (PU) Azerigaznegl (PU Aztransgaz is a unit of the JSC Azerigaz) told Trend.
The PU noted, that cleaning is over by now at the Siazan-Gazimagomed (diameter 1220 mm and the length 133,5 km) section of the main pipeline Altiagach-Agsu (diameter 1223 mm and the length 75 km). "We planned to use the profile meter for its intratubal checking to get data from the inner part of the gas pipeline but due to the incident the works have been delayed as for carrying out the works availability of gas in the pipeline is needed”, Azerigaznegl said.
The gas pipeline cleaning is performed by the Russian Orgenergogaz company for about $352,000.
