“Кarasu Operating Company (КАОС) will have 26 wells drilled in Mishovdag onshore field in 2006,” the President of КАОС, Michael Palmer, told Trend in an exclusive interview. There will be 29 wells drilled in Mishovdag in 2005.
Рљarasu Operating Company is involved in the exploration and exploitation of the onshore fields Mishovdag and Kalamaddin. Shareholders of KAOC are Nations Energy with 85%-
stake and SOCAR with 15%-stake.
Touching the development of Kelameddin onshore oil field Palmer said there would be 4 wells drilled in Kelameddin in 2006 and 16 in 2007. Besides, the company will carry out some exploration drilling, a total of 3 wells, during 2006 and 2007.
In January to September 2005 KAOC produced 198,548 tons of oil from the Mishovdag-Kelameddin area, 47.7% more than 2004. In September the production comprised 21,775 tons.
