Dovran Orazmyradov was appointed the chairman of Turkmen Commerce and Industry Chamber (CIC), according to a decree of Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Mergen Shaliev, the former head of CIC, was appointed as the deputy director of the Turkmen Institute for the Study of Trade Turnover of National Products.

Turkmen CIC is the socio-economic organization that brings together businesses, organizations, entrepreneurs and their associations, regardless of ownership forms, designed to express and defend their interests, promote the development of the national economy, trade and economic, scientific and technical relations with other states.

Turkmen CIC represents its members and engages in relations with the state and its bodies.

It was established in 1994 to promote the development of Turkmenistan's economy and its integration into the world economic system, formation of modern industrial, financial and trade infrastructure, creation of favorable conditions for entrepreneurship, assisting in establishment of trade and economic, scientific and technical relations with foreign partners.
