A truck carrying cement rolled and tipped over on Istanbul's TEM highway early July 4, turning the city's morning commute into traffic chaos Hurriyet Daily News reported.
The accident occurred at around 7 a.m. in the city's Bağcılar district as two lanes were closed, causing a traffic jam that stretched across the European side of the metropolis.
The cement which fell the road after the accident was removed after an hour while a TOMA (riot control vehicle) passing by also helped in the cleaning works.
The traffic flow on the road returned to normal at around 9:30 a.m., but the delays have continued to affect traffic across the city.
