U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev on Friday congratulated newly-inaugurated Turkish Prime Minister, Ahmet Davutoglu, Anadolu agency reported.

Kerry stressed that he worked closely with Davutoglu in his former duty as foreign minister and wished him success in his new position.

Turkey's newly appointed Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu announced his cabinet on Friday, a day after President Recep Tayyip Erdogan assigned him to form a new government.

There are four new names on the list for ministries of EU relations, customs and trade, and two deputy prime minister posts.

Meanwhile, in the AK Party administration Besir Atalay, former deputy prime minister, was appointed on Friday as the new AK Party spokesman and deputy chairman of advertisement and media directorate.

Mehmet Mus, AK Party's MP from Istanbul, was named as deputy chairman of economic affairs.

Oznur Calik, AK Party's MP from Malatya, was named as deputy president of press and public relations.

Davutoglu's cabinet includes four new names: Mevlut Cavusoglu as foreign minister; Volkan Bozkir as minister for E.U. affairs; and Yalcin Akdogan and Numan Kurtulmus, both of whom were appointed deputy prime ministers.

Davutoglu, who has been serving as foreign minister since 2009, was elected chairman of the ruling Justice and Development Party at an extraordinary congress Wednesday.

Turkey's 12th president, Erdogan, was elected on August 10, garnering around 52 percent of the vote. He was sworn in Thursday.
