Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili told reporters Dec.11 about the resignation of Deputy Interior Minister of Georgia Giorgi Zedelashvili.
He said that the vacant post will be taken by the former First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia Vakhtang Gomelauri.
In addition, the former Head of the Special State Protection Service (SSPS) Teimuraz Mgebrishvili and former deputy minister of penitentiary system, Archil Talakvadze were appointed the deputy interior ministers, he said.
"We decided to implement the regular phase of interdepartmental reshuffles," said Garibashvili. "Regarding the Special State Protection Service, Anzor Chubinidze will become its new head."
