E-text books to become prevalent in Azerbaijani secondary schools

The Romanian SIVECO software company and the Azerbaijani Ultra IT company have completed the first phase of the e-books in the secondary schools, the Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry said today with reference to SIVECO president Irina Sokol.

The Romanian SIVECO software company and the Azerbaijani Ultra IT company have completed the first phase of the e-books in the secondary schools, the Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry said today with reference to SIVECO president Irina Sokol.

Expanding the cooperation with the Romanian company was discussed with Minister Ali Abbasov.

Sokol added that at present, "electronic books" are being used in 50 schools in Azerbaijan. The second phase project implementation, which will cover more schools, was supported by Minister Abbasov.

Founded in 1992 SIVECO is one of the largest integrators of software in Central and Eastern Europe. The company ensures development and export of IT-solutions and consulting projects in the European Community countries, the Middle East, North Africa and the CIS.

The company promotes integrated solutions for the agriculture, education, health, oil and gas industry, etc.
