Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend E. Huseynov, S. Agayeva / Tofik Zulfugarov, the newly appointed Azerbaijani Ambassador to Estonia, presented his credentials to Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves. From now on, Zulfugarov will fulfill the office of the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Estonia and Latvia, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Riga said on 26 October. Presently, the Ambassador is in Estonia to hold meetings with the government of the country, the Embassy said.
Accepting the credentials, the Estonian President said that his country welcomes the appointment of the Azerbaijani ambassador, BNS agency reports. "We are interested in furthering cooperation with your country, said Ilves. Our relations were very intensive, but both countries want to further develop our political and economic relations. It is proven by the upcoming visit of Urmas Paet, the Estonian Foreign Minister, to Baku with a delegation of businessmen."
The Estonian Foreign Minister will visit Azerbaijan on 29-30 October and discuss the issues of developing cooperation in political, economic, and other spheres.
