Russian Parliament’s Speaker Discussed Creation of Parliamentary Assembly of Caspian Countries (video)

Azerbaijan, Baku, 13 May / Trend corr M. Aliyev, I. Alizade/ "Russia offers to create a Parliamentary Assembly of the Caspian Countries and to hold parliamentary commission of Russia and Azerbaijan in Baku in June," Boris Grizlov, Speaker of the Russian Parliament, said at a press conference on 13 May.

Grizlov said that the relations between the two countries are at the high level.

Grizlov said to journalists that he had met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Speaker Ogtay Asadov. They discussed projects on construction of Moscow-Baku-Teheran railway line, as well as Russia's position on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

"We welcome negotiations within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group. Russia will support any agreement achieved by the sides and will secure the decisions," he said.
