TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 25. Belarusian BelAZ plans to start construction of an assembly site for the production of quarry equipment in Uzbekistan in 2024, CEO of Haul Trucks Maxim Dudinets told local reporters, Trend reports.

He spoke at the International Industrial Exhibition "Innoprom. Central Asia".

According to him, it will be a full-cycle line of large-unit assembly, with paint booths and a running-in area.

The sides plan to produce up to 20 dump trucks per year at the first stage. In the future, the capacity of the project will be multiplied by 20–25 percent. The shares in the future enterprise will be divided equally between the Uzbek and Belarusian parties.

The location and cost of the project have not been determined yet and are being discussed with local partners.

Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's trade turnover volume with Belarus amounted to $141 million from January through March 2024. The exports reached $36.6 million, while the imports amounted to $104.4 million during this period.
