Uzbekistan shares data on production of gas through underground coal gasification

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 25. Uzbekistan produced 41.2 million cubic meters of gas through underground coal gasification in the first quarter of 2024, Trend reports.

As per data from Uzbekistan’s Statistics Agency, this figure has increased by 62.8 percent compared to the same period last year (25.3 million cubic meters in January-March 2023).

At the same time, in March, the production volume of gas through underground coal gasification increased by 14.3 million cubic meters compared to the previous two months (26.9 million cubic meters in January–February 2024).

Furthermore, the country’s production of gas through underground coal gasification reached 77.3 million cubic meters in 2023.

Meanwhile, the volume of natural gas production in Uzbekistan amounted to 11.5 billion cubic meters from January through March 2024. This figure represents a decrease of 6.5 percent year-on-year (12.3 billion cubic meters in January–March 2023).

At the same time, the volume of produced gas condensate reached 326,300 tons from January through March 2024. This indicator is 2.13 percent higher than the same period last year (319,500 tons in January–March 2023).
