DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, April 25. Bilateral documents totaling over $160 million were signed following the Tajikistan and Italy investment forum entitled "Representation of Tajikistan in Italy," Trend reports.
According to the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management of Tajikistan, over 100 companies from both sides participated in the event, along with leaders and officials from ministries and government agencies, entrepreneurs, investors, and representatives of companies and enterprises from various sectors of Tajikistan and Italy.
The forum included bilateral meetings between entrepreneurs from both countries in a business-to-business format and between the public and private sectors of both sides, discussing trade and investment issues.
Specifically, the following agreements were signed:
- An Agreement on Cooperation between the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan and the Marzoli Macchine Italian company.
- An agreement between Tajikistan's Gayur Group company and the SACMI Imola Italian company regarding the launch of a ceramic production line.
- An agreement between the Tajik Greenfoods company and the Italian Anselmo Impianti for the launch of a pasta production line.
The President of Tajikistan embarked on his first official visit to Italy and the Vatican on April 22. Seven new documents were signed following the high-level meetings during the visit.
