Azerbaijan names volume of customs revenues to state budget

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 25. Revenues to the state budget of Azerbaijan through the State Customs Committee (SCC) from January through March 2024 decreased by 4.86 percent compared to the same period in 2023, Trend reports.

According to the SCC, revenues exceeded 1.4 billion manat ($823 million) in the reporting period.

Revenue from customs duties to the state budget in the reporting period of 2024 increased by 10.38 percent (38.006 million manat) compared to the same period last year and amounted to 404 million manat.

Meanwhile, revenues from VAT in the reporting period amounted to 1 billion manat ($587 million) (a 10.1 percent reduction compared to the same period in 2023), from excise tax - 48.6 million manat ($28.5 million) (10.58 percent growth), and from road tax - 9.4 million manat ($5.5 million) (a 32.21 percent reduction).

Besides, revenues to the state budget of Azerbaijan through the SCC in 2023 increased by 12.08 percent compared to 2022, up to 6.3 billion manat ($3.7 billion).

To note, revenues to the state budget of Azerbaijan through the SCC in 2022 increased by 30.21 percent compared to 2021, up to 5.6 billion manat ($3.2 billion).
