BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 25. Competitions of the 29th Azerbaijan Championship and Baku Championship in Acrobatic Gymnastics have kicked off at the Heydar Aliyev Sports and Concert Complex in Baku, Trend reports.
The competitions will run on April 25–26, with the participation of 71 gymnasts.
The participants of the competitions are athletes from the Specialized Children's and Youth Olympic Reserve School of Gymnastics, Ojaq Sports Club, Neftchi Sports Club, and Specialized Children's and Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve No. 13.
Athletes are competing for medals in various categories: women's pairs (age categories: kids born 2009-2018) and children (born 2008-2013); men's pairs (adults born in 2009 and older); mixed pairs (adults born in 2009 and older); women's groups (children born 2008-2013), pre-juniors (born 2006-2012), juniors (born 2005-2010), adults (born in 2009 and older), and men's groups (pre-juniors born 2006-2012), adults (born in 2009 and older).
The gymnasts are demonstrating balancing, tempo, and combined exercises.
