Azerbaijan has announced Dec. 31 to Jan. 4 as non-working days, Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers Press Service head Akif Ali told Trend today.
He added that Dec. 31 has been announced as a non-working day due to Azerbaijani Solidarity Day, and Jan. 1-2 will be non-working days due to the New Year holidays in accordance with a Cabinet of Ministers' decree dated Nov. 26, 2009. As Jan. 2 is Saturday, Jan. 4 has also been announced a non-working day, Ali said.
If a holiday falls on the end of the week, the non-working days are automatically postponed to the next working days in accordance with the law of the Azerbaijani Republic dated Dec. 30, 2005.
