A second group of Kyrgyz children arrived in Kazakhstan today for a short vacation after mass riots rocked the country's southern regions earlier this year, Kyrgyzstan National Coordinator Tolendy Makeyev said at a briefing in Astana.
"The first 50 children have already left the Tau Samaly rest home," he said. "Another 50 children will arrive Aug. 17 to enjoy a vacation."
Makeyev added that today Astana decided to provide financial assistance to Kyrgyzstan during a recent Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting.
