The ruling New Azerbaijan Party's (NAP) list of candidates for the upcoming parliamentary elections has been "updated enough," head of the Presidential Administration's Social and Political Department Ali Hasanov said today.
"I think credence has been given to young party members working in the education, health and other spheres," he said. "It is a competition - each party nominates its own candidates and the people determine who will be elected."
Parliamentary elections are scheduled for Nov. 7. Previous legislative elections were held in November 2005. Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are held by the majority system in 125 electoral constituencies.
The NAP published its list of MP candidates on Sept. 18.
