Azerbaijani Ombudsman Elmira Suleymanova has received an appeal
from Elshan Pashayev, a prisoner kept at isolation cell 1 with request of assistance. In this connection employees of the Ombudsman’s Apparat met with Pashayev and hold talks with him, the Institute of the Ombudsman told Trend.
Pashayev informed the representatives of the Ombudsman on tendentious investigation into his case and his intention of drawing public attention through hunger strike.
The Ombudsman appealed to the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan with request to assist in the re-trial of Pashayev and adopt relevant actions.
