CEC chairman called on media to observe period of candidates campaigning accomplishment

The number of registered international observers at the parliamentary elections is 1326, according to the data for 4 November, the chairman of the Azerbaijan’s Central Election Committee (CEC) Mazahir Panahov said at the CEC sitting on 4 November, Trend reports.

Among the registered international observers are representatives of OSCE, PACE, the Council of Europe, NATO, and other institutions. The observers from 45 countries have been registered.

Up to 260 foreign correspondents, representing 80 media have been also registered. About 17,000 local observers have been registered at CEC, and at the constituency committees вЂ" around 40,000 persons.

Panahov noted, starting with 08.00 a.m. on 5 November till 20.00 p.m. on 7 November the campaigning of candidates is banned by the law. He called on the media to adhere strongly to these rules.
