Damage to ecology for jet crash insignificant

“The damage caused to ecology as a result of the jet crash taken place near Baku on 23 December is insignificant,” Husseyn Baghirov, the Azerbaijani Ecology and Natural Resources Minister, said on Tuesday, Trend reports.

According to Baghirov, the representatives of the Ecology Monitoring Service of the Ecology Ministry took samples of water and ground in the territory, where the accident took place. Special map was drawn up on the results of the monitoring.

18 passengers and 5 members of crew died as a result of the jet crash of airliner РђH-100-140 near Baku on 23 December at 22:27pm [local time]. The РђH-100-140 airliner belonged to AZAL State Air Lines Company took off from Heydar Aliyev Baku International Airport at 22:19pm [local time].

The State Commission established in this regard is currently conducting active work in this direction. Baghirov was also a member of the State Commission.
