According to the latest data, the trade turnover volume between Azerbaijan and Iran reached $450-500 million, however, it is not the limit for the opportunities available, the Ambassador of Iran to Azerbaijan Afshar Suleymani said in a statement today during the news conference on the occasion of the 27-th anniversary of the Iran Islamic Revolution, Trend reports.
According to the Ambassador, from this volume, $360 million make up export from Iran to Azerbaijan, the rest part - import of Iran from Azerbaijan. The diplomat voiced satisfaction by the level of bilateral economic, cultural, humanitarian relations between the both countries.
The annual statistics of entries and exits of the both countries also increases. Thus, on the results of 2005 it was about 1million people. The consular Department of Iranian Embassy to Azerbaijan issues daily 150-200 visas to citizens of Azerbaijan, the Ambassador said.
Iran stands for expansion of cooperation with Azerbaijan in regional projects, in international organizations, the Ambassador noted.

According to him, the Iranian economy is developing rapidly, the GDP level is $114 billion, the yearly budget is $ 40 billion, 160 projects involving foreign investors are implemented in the country.
