EU experts expected

Experts of the European Union are expected to visit Baku in mid-April, Elmar Mammadyarov, the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister told journalists.

The key objective of the visit is hold consultations with Azerbaijan on the Action Plan within the framework of the European Neighborhood Policy, Trend reports. The experts plan to discuss the uncoordinated issues during the last round of consultations due in Budapest on 7 March.

Issues of political character cannot be coordinated by the end of the 2006.

The Action Plan is scheduled for approximately 5 years and covers the bilateral cooperation in the political, economy and trade spheres.

Following the approval in the expert level the Plan should be adopted by 25 EU member-states. He document will be adopted in the forthcoming meeting of the EU-Azerbaijan Council of Cooperation due in September.
