Solemn festivities dedicated to the national holiday of Azerbaijan the Salivation Day was held in Kars, Turkey, Trendreports.
The festivities started with a putting of a wreath at former Azerbaijani President Heydar Aliyevs bust by the Azerbaijani General Consul in Turkey, Hasan Zakirov. Alter the General Consul made a short speech noting that returning to power on 15 June 1993 Heydar Aliyev rescued Azerbaijan from split.
According to Zeynalov, every citizen of Azerbaijan is a live witness of success of ex-Presidents far-sighted policy.
Attending the ceremony were employees of the General Consulate, as well as Azerbaijani teachers working for Turkish universities.
