If a democratic election environment isnt created in Azerbaijan and the election commissions arent formed on a parity base, then Azadlig block will boycott the 2008 presidential elections, Ali Karimli, the co-chairman of Azadlig block, told journalists.
He told that at the moment the block doesnt hold any discussions in relation with the upcoming presidential elections.
Because without concrete changes in the country, there is no importance to participate in the elections. If such changes dont emerge, then Azadlig block will boycott the elections. If we see that there are favorable opportunities to participate in the elections, then will start discussions and make a constructive decision. I think that we will appoint a single candidate of the block without any problems, Karimli added.
