The Russian embassy in Baku informed Trend that the Interior Minister of the Russian Federation, Rashid Nurgaliyev, postponed his official visit to Azerbaijan, originally scheduled for December 13, 2006, Trend reports.
The embassy explained the reasons for delay with the Minister busy schedule. The visit will be paid in the second half of December, in 1-2 weeks. The visit is made on the invitation of the Azerbaijani Interior Minister Ramil Usubov. The Interior Ministers of the two countries will meet within the visit. The meeting will focus on strengthening the co-operation between the force bodies of the two countries and the prospects of the co-operation between the Interior Ministers of the two countries, as well as on the co-operation plan for 2007-2008.
During the visit it is planned to hold comprehensive exchange of opinions on consolidation of cooperation between the law-enforcement bodies of the two countries.
