Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend , corr. S. Aghayeva/ Yevgeniy Kozhokin, the Director of the Russian University for Strategic Researches, spoke in Baku today, stressing Azerbaijan's importance to Russia. " Russia is greatly interested in co-operation with Azerbaijan using energy and biological resources of the Caspian Sea on the basis of mutual advantage," he noted. " Russia is interested in Azerbaijani migrants who play an important role in the economic growth of the both countries," stated the political analyst.
The Russian political analyst also advocated for openness of the market in the CIS, and expressed an interest of the Russian party in developing the realms of transport and the reconstruction and restitution of railway communication within CIS territories. He also advocated the elimination of different economic barriers and obstacles resulting from applying different tariffs within the CIS. As to the future of the CIS, the Russian political analyst views it as a developed regional and economic organization-alliance.
