Today the Uzbek youth Olympic team flew to Singapore to participate in the first Youth Olympic Games, to be held August 14-26, the National Olympic Committee said.
Over 3,000 boys and girls aged 14-18 from different world countries will compete in Singapore for 184 medals on 30 kinds of sport.
The Uzbek team, represented by 21 athletes, will take part in 11 kinds of sport: judo, gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, table tennis, weightlifting, athletics, taekwondo, boxing, swimming, wrestling (freestyle, Greco-Roman, Female) and shooting.
