Azerbaijan sees growth in revenues to state budget via customs line

Revenues to the state budget of Azerbaijan through the State Customs Committee (SCC) in 9M2021 increased by 7.45 percent, or 238 million manats ($140 million) compared to the same period last year, Trend reports with reference to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.

According to the committee, the revenues to the state budget of Azerbaijan during the reporting period exceeded 3.193 billion manat / $1.9 billion (2.955 billion manats / $1.7 billion in the same period of 2020).

At the same time, receipts from customs duties to the state budget in 9M2021 increased by 17.42 percent compared to the same period last year and reached 870.111 million manats ($512 million).

Earlier it was reported that the State Customs Committee in 9M2021 exceeded the forecast for revenues to the state budget by 12.39 percent. The amount transferred to the state budget in excess of the forecast amounted to 351.99 million manats ($207 million). State budget revenues from VAT increased by 4.22 percent to 2.171 billion manats ($1.3 billion), from excise taxes - by 16.6 percent to 120.543 million manats ($71 million), from road tax - by 15.3 percent to 31.703 million manats ($18.6 million).
