Turkmenistan reveals construction data

Turkmenistan overfulfilled the plan for production and provision of services in the construction sector by 21.9 percent from January through July 2020, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.

The data was provided during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan held via videoconference.

The Ministry of Construction and Architecture of Turkmenistan overfulfilled the plan in construction sector by 7.9 percent during the reporting period.

The Ministry of Industry and Construction of the country exceeded the plan for the provision of services by 6.3 percent, and the Ministry of Energy by 14.4 percent.

The municipal administration of the capital of Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, exceeded the plan for works performed and services rendered by 14 percent from January through July.

As reported, some 2,500 buildings were constructed in Turkmenistan in 1H2020.

Fourteen large objects including residential buildings with a total area of 509,000 square meters, were constructed in 1H2020. The total cost of construction exceeded $37 billion.

In general, the plan for production of products and services in the country's construction and industrial sector in 1H2020 was exceeded by 12.8 percent, in comparison with the same period last year.

As reported, the Ministry of Construction and Architecture of Turkmenistan overfulfilled the plan by 7.7 percent in 1H2020.
