Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend S.Babayeva / The 11th monitoring of bird flue started in Azerbaijan on 19 November, Yolchu Khanvali, the press-secretary of the Azerbaijani State Veterinary Service, said.
The monitoring will continue till 22 November. The monitoring is being held mainly on the coast of the Caspian Sea, Divichi, Salyan, Agjabadi and Lankaran regions of Azerbaijan.
The monitoring is being held by a special commission including members of the Veterinary Service, Health Ministry, Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry and Hunting Community.
Results of the laboratory analysis will be announced on 1 December.
The State Service carried out ten checks in 2007. About 8,000 wild and domestic samples have been examined. As a result no virus has been found.
