General plan of Tbilisi's development signed

Tbilisi's mayor Gigi Ugulava and town council chairman Zaal Samadashvili signed general plan of the capital development on July 1.
Ugulava called approval of general plan of Tbilisi's development as important event. He said that it will allow developing town correctly.
In his turn, Samadashvili said that general plan was designed in 1971 though it has not been adopted up to now. Work over this plan was resumed two years ago.
Work over plan was held in three stages. Invited specialists participated in its preparation, he said. It was discussed in several instances. Later plan was submitted for sakrebulo approval.
Plan passed monthly public discussion in municipal agency. Final variant of the plan was approved after making some changes.
