The number of disabled persons declined by 1,601 people to 16,654 people in January-September compared to the same period of 2010, Azerbaijani Labor and Social Protection Ministry Spokesman Elnur Kalantarli said at the news conference on results if the first three quarters of 2010.
He said the number of rehabilitated disabled persons increased by 3,098 people up to 8,817 people. During the report period, the figure increased by 5.8 percent.
During the report period, the disabled persons received 240 vehicles in the framework of social protection activities
The employment services provided 18,701 people, including 1,177 people - paid public works, with jobs. About 2,991 people were involved in the training courses.
The trade fair provided 4,134 unemployed with jobs. During the report period, the labor exchanges operating in the cities of Baku, Sumgait, Ganja, Nakhchivan and Mingachevir provided 2,902 people with jobs.
The "First career move" trade fair employed 271 graduated and students, and 73,254 people received professional advice.
