Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, Feb. 7 / Trend H. Hasanov /

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov ordered to revise the rules of working with construction companies, the Altyn Asyr national TV channel reported.

It was instructed to prepare the necessary documents and submit them for consideration at the Cabinet of Ministers.

"It is necessary to reconsider the rules of the work with construction companies," he said.

As it is expected, the new organization will hold tenders between local and foreign companies for construction of various objects.

Ministries and departments will continue to conclude contracts with the directorate for the construction of buildings and organizations.

"This will allow the Ashgabat administration to conduct construction work in accordance with the general plan, and to simplify the procedure for preparation and approval of documents to strengthen control over the quality of the work" the president said.

Berdimuhamedov noted that the systematic development of the construction sector in the country has great importance.

This will strengthen the capacity of construction companies to significantly expand and strengthen the base of the building materials, as well as to prepare highly qualified builders.

Roughly 120 major facilities worth $4.8 billion were erected and commissioned in Turkmenistan in 2010. Roughly $7 billion will be allocated in this area in 2011.
