Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, June 6 / Trend H. Hasanov /

The road transport licensing rules have been changed in Turkmenistan.

According to a decree by Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Regulation "Licensing of road transport, freight operations" was approved.

The licenses are issued for three years, although the duration and period can be shortened or extended in the manner prescribed by law.

The license grants the right to perform certain types of transport activity. Thus, a person,

getting a license for the work on transportation, must do this independently, without using third-party labor - hired drivers.

The requirements and conditions were introduced to implement the law and protect the interests of Turkmen citizens.

According to the license, the activity must comply with fire safety regulations of labor

protection and safety. It is also necessary to ensure compliance with the rules for exploiting road

transport capacity. Drivers, carrying goods and passengers, must have documents certifying their level of training.
