Kazakh National Export and Investment Agency KAZNEX INVEST has promoted export of goods worth $292.6 million to Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan over the last two years, Kazakh Economic Development and Trade Ministry told Trend.
"The stimulation was carried out within the Export-2020 state program aimed at export support," the ministry said.
The ministry said the main products exported under this program are machinery and equipment, chemicals, textiles, pharmaceuticals, food products and construction materials.
Export -2020 program includes expense reimbursement to exporters, export support services and export transactions funding.
This program is a part of state policy aimed at rapid development of priority non-oil sector.
In general, the state support program covers more than a thousand companies-exporters of processed products.
KAZNEX INVEST is one of Kazakhstan's national development institutions designed to promote diversification of the national economy by creating more favorable conditions for development and advancement of Kazakhstan's non-commodity exports and foreign direct investment in priority sectors of the economy.
