Some $61.3 mln transferred from Russia to Georgia in November

In November 2012, the amount of money transfers to Georgia hit $110.5 million, which is $6.3 million or 6.1 percent more than the same period of last year.

In November 2012, the amount of money transfers to Georgia hit $110.5 million, which is $6.3 million or 6.1 percent more than the same period of last year.

As the National Bank of Georgia told Trend, 92.9 percent of money transfers accounted for 12 donor countries, from where the volume of such transfers exceeded $1 million. Some 92.6 per cent of money transfers accounted for these 12 countries in November last year.

Some $61.3 million were transferred from Russia, Greece - $11.9 million, Italy - $8.2 million, Ukraine - $4.2 million, Turkey - $2.4 million, Spain - $2.2 million , Great Britain - $1.6 million, Kazakhstan - $1.4 million, Israel -$1.3 million, Germany - $1.1 million, India - $1.0 million.

In November 2012 Georgia transferred $10.0 million abroad compared to $8.4 million in November last year.
