Deposits from the public, attracted to the banking system of Azerbaijan's regions (areas of the country, with the exception of Baku), made as of November 1, 2012, 374.085 million manat, or 7.98 per cent of total bank deposits. This is stated in the statistical report of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) has published on its website.
As of November 1, the total amount of deposits in the country amounted to 4 689.7 million manat, of which 2 704.3 million manat falls on deposits in the national currency.
In Baku, deposits amounted to 4 315.6 million manat, with 2 417.9 million manat deposits in the national currency.
The average interest rate on the country for the period was 8.4 percent, in Baku - 8.6 percent.
The amount of deposits on the Absheron economic region amounted to 109.2 million manat, with an average rate of 9.1 percent, Aran - 61.8 million manat at a rate of 4.9 per cent, Gorno-Shirvan - 8.2 million manat at a rate of 6.7 percent , Ganja-Gazakh - 76.9 million manat at a rate of 7.4 percent, Guba-Khachmaz - 27.2 million manat at a rate of 7.1 percent, Lankaran - 31.5 million manat at a rate of 6.5 percent, Sheki-Zagatala - 23.5 million manat at a rate of 5.6 percent, the Upper-Karabakh - 11.04 million manat at a rate of 3.3 percent, Kalbajar, Lachin - 2.47 million manat at a rate of 4.9 percent, Nakhchivan - 22.06 million manat at an average rate of 3.4 percent.
